About
title The last two years have seen a remarkable amount of activity in the world of space science. The Euclid mission has launched to explore the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy, and is already producing tantalising science results, while the JUICE spacecraft is now on its way to Jupiter to examine the icy moons orbiting the Gas Giant. The James Webb Space Telescope, too, continues to produce ever more incredible views of early cosmic epochs, allowing us to gain a deeper understanding of the Universe’s history.

All these missions have strong UK involvement as well, be it through industry work or research and leadership on key scientific instruments. This panel of global science leaders, all of whom are women who’ve reached the top of their profession, will be a chance to reflect on these successes and more, including the fruitful international collaboration at the heart of these projects and others like them. It’ll also be a moment to look to the future and upcoming missions like the Rosalind Franklin Mars rover and Vigil, which will keep watch on powerful eruptions from Sun, helping us monitor the space weather our star creates.
